hey Yall!
So I'm getting ready to go home for the weekend and I'm so excited.
Last night I went to hell escape with a bunch of friends. Honestly it's amazing...for real. God is so wonderful...
Um...so yeah prayer works, I get to go home this weekend, and chaperone a middle school dance. My school is getting a Concert band started praise God...um there is also the fact that I've been asked to join the school newsletter...which is awesome...God just keeps giving me chances to show the gifts that he's given me. Praise HIS NAME!

When it rains it pours
Hey everyone...
So, In life things are great. God is amazing and I love him. I know that I'm on the right track with where I am concerning God's will for my life. Lately though the devil has been taking swing after swing at me.
And on top of everything every time things look better something else happens. The most recent thing is me spraining my ankle...It hurts so bad, and I'm trying not to go to the doctor for it, but I honestly dont know what to do anymore. Things are so crazy.
I know God's got his hand in this, I'm just having a joel day. I know this will be hard too but God's got this.
I found out last night that all my friends are going to this movie I want to go to...a night that I'm not gonna be able to go. I'm so tired of things going wrong, but I'm not backing down. My love for God is true, It's strong and if I have to go through the hardest of times I will for my Savior.
All that to say...when it rains it pours...dont let that get you down though Child of God...do your best to still shine with the Love of CHRIST! Amen!

This Weekend
Hey all-
So this weekend I went to a retreat with my church. It was amazing. Friday we all left to get there and we were late, but it was an awesome time to praise God. Then we went to our "focus groups" Shelley, Mandy, and I went to the Womens one. It was interesting we talked about how to be submissive. Then after that we went to bed. Saturday was a fun day but Shelley, Mandy, and I got in a 3 hour nap. The two sessions I went to that day dealt with Lonliness and Media Ministry. The services were amazing God moved in both of them. One dealt with Lust and I'm not quite sure about the other one. All I know is God was present and my heart was touched in an amazing way, and so were the hearts of many of my friends. Then Sunday morning we went to service and went home.
God's love is so evident I'm just amazed at the things I saw this weekend and at the work that God is doing on my heart. Praise God and Amen

Go to person
What is a go to person? A go to person is someone that you can go to when you need a friend, someone to talk to here on earth that you can share things with. This person wont Judge. They know when to just listen and when advice is needed.
How do you find one? Every person has a go to person. It just depends on when you find them, or when they find you.
Pray about it. A go to person can be your spouse or future spouse...and/or a good friend.
Recently God laid it on someones heart to be my go to person and two days later someone told me I was there go to person.
Can you have more than one? It is probably possible but VERY hard to find.
I have tons of friends but only one go to person. This person I trust with anything. She is an awesome person of God. But I also havent found the guy I'm supposed to marry .
I pray that all the readers of this blog find one or 2 go to people they are so important for a Christian to have! God Bless

Youth Ministry
The last couple of days I've done a lot of thinking...about life, and God and my calling. I know that I'm where I'm supposed to be, and I know I'm supposed to be in youth ministry. I love kids and I know that youth today need mentors and just that good influence. I want to help the youth of today.
But is there anything holding me back? Sometimes struggles hold us back...they keep us from being the Witnesses God calls us to be. And lately I've held on to a lot of things I shouldnt have...anger towards another person being one of those things. Finally today I let it go. I feel more at peace now. And I praise God for that.
Another thing I struggle with is the fact that many people dont believe that women can be youth ministers. Well I know what God has called me to do and I'm going to listen to Him! But because of people not agreeing with women in youth ministry it is hard for me to find a place to intern. I'd really like to do a summer internship somewhere out of Ohio and Kentucky but if God says otherwise I shall listen!

Oh The Wonderful Cross
Hey everyone!
Well, here I am- I've joined the blogger crew! I'm gonna do my best to update quite a bit.
As you can tell, I love Jesus! I'm a bubbly person most of the time but I love to get serious and talk about God thats probably one of the most fun things for me!
Heres is a bit about me. I started going to church with my parents at 2 weeks old. My dad was a deacon in church and my mom is a special ed teacher with Emotional and Behavior disordered students. My dad died when I was 15 and ever since then I have a heart for the fatherless Children and I want to help them as much as possible. I'm strong for purity and have yet to be kissed, which I'm very happy about personally!
Music is one of my favorite things, and I love writing as well! I love youth, and I love my friends.
God has blessed me with a great group of friends who always keep me in check! I've had 2 of my best friends for a while. One of them, Joey has been my best friend for 11 years. I've had Anna as my best friend for 6 almost 7 years.
